From May 14th to 17th earlier this year Rishi Nityapragya taught Sri Sri Yoga to more than 100 participants in Encinitas.  He led the participants effortlessly through Surya Namaskar yogasanas, powerful Kapalabhati pranayamas, and meditations.
Some of the participants had reported observing lower readings of their blood pressure and better sleeping.  Here is another excerpt:
"… [S]atsang was too good, can’t express in words the feelings and emotions of that evening.  That Friday evening was too perfect, asanas, kapalabhati, meditation and then Satsang…Too good!…"

Ravan Burning, Ravana Dahan at San Diego, California

The festival of Dussera or Vijayadashmi is culminated by celeberating victor of good over evil. As a part of the festival of is the concept of Ravan Dahan or Ravan burning. This event enacts symbolic destruction of Ravan with the burning of effigies of Ravana. Large effigies of Ravana, upto 100 feets are set on fire by actors playing the role of Rama and Lakshmana.

As a part of the celeberation , Ravan Dahan is being organized by ISKON San Diego, Califoria. The schedule of Ravan Dahan in San Diego is as follows

Festival starts at 5:30 pm with bhajans and kirtans, prasadam feast, Ram katha, quiz, and culminates with the burning of Ravana, which will take place just at sunset, around 6:30 pm.
Place: Mission Bay Park / North Ski Beach.

Discourse will be provided in English followed by a Q&A session.

Upanishads form the core spiritual thought of Vedanta. As per Shankaracharya’s commentary, the great philosopher of the Advaita doctrine, Upanishads equate to Atmavidya or the “knowledge of the self”. Prof. Sthaneshwar did his Acharya from Varanasi and PhD from Halle, Germany. His fields of interest are Vedic and Tantric studies, Yogacara philosophy and Indian literary theories. He has authored many books on the Advaita doctrine.
