Bollywood Inspired Fashion Event at San Diego

WHAT:
Join StyleXplorers.com for a celebration of Bollywood at The Keating Hotel.  The evening will celebrate the art, romance, color and energy of Bollywood, featuring the dramatic bright colors and textiles that India is famous for in a fashion show styled by The Closet Party ranging from Saris to modern interpretations from local designers, from simple to high glamour and oomph.  Western outfits ( denims et al ), "Salwar Kameez" ( which is basically pants with knee length shirts and scarves to wear around neck again this can be from simple to very sexy.  See below for information on featured designer Rohini Bedi
Music will be a blend of Romantic and Pop sounds that are typical of Bollywood, we will add a splash of today’s Rock influence to the Bollywood music genres, and don’t hold back on your moves to the most vibrant Punjabi Bhangra music.
Indian inspired club cocktails will be featured.

Rohini Bedi’s dared to break into a market few brave to venture into. She’s styled Western women in her bold saris, tunics and Indian skirts. Rohini dips into festive colours, rich hand embroidery and weaves to create collections in shades of fuschia, flame red, emerald green and saphire blue. Her collection comprises of a very exuberant line of formal and bridal wear. Here’s a designer who has showcased her collection in London, Dubai, Germany, Vancouver, Toronto and France. She says, “Fashion to me means innovating within the mould and blending tradition into modern format. I like to take fashion beyond the concept of regular.”
INDIAN BOHO CHIC: The lady of style and sophistication, set up her studio in the US in Costa Mesa, California. Her creativity is her buzzword and she does India proud, living and designing out of Orange County for Indians and other lovers of Indian fashion. She’s given a modern interpretation to the sari by reinventing the draping technique. She believes that fashion should be wearable else there’s no fun. In fact, Rohini has been retailing in Ogaan, Madame Butterfly, Kaaya, in Delhi and Gimmicks, Areesa, in Mumbai, Khajana in New Jersey and Mystique in Artesia, CA.
